Yesterday I drove to Wally-World and noticed the A/C cycling a lot and not cooling well.......glancing at the ScanGauge II my coolant temperature was 215* but it was only 80* outside??

I shut off the A/C and drove easy and it was up to 233* when I got to Wally-World...dash gauge pointing at 20 MPH!!:argue:

After raising the hood and smelling burned electrical stuff I felt the fan controller and it was H-O-T!! It sat about 15 minutes and when I got back it was down to 211* so I decided to drive it home.......it got up to 218* but I was on the highway and at 45-50 MPH the temperature receded to 206* and I made it home!!

Rock Auto has the entire fan assembly for $118.00 from Dorman so I ordered one......it actually shipped yesterday....man those guys are on the ball!!:bows:

Now to get the FIT instructions out and review how to invert it for the blower......stay tuned!!:D

Yes, be careful with aftermarket fan units. They are prone to "thermal events".

I bought the whole assembly from Ford (expensive) and have it in my inventory for when I need it.

Installed the Dorman fan today....had to modify it and turn it upside down for the ProCharger!! Installation went very well and after replacing the 50 Amp fuse that blew when the OEM fan burned up......ALL IS WELL!!

This fan really moves the air......never paid much attention before.....just always heard it running!!

Now......if it only lasts awhile??

Can you post a picture of your car with the Mach 1 air dam please. Also how much boost are you running?

I see your inter cooler is in a different position then mine.

Good to know your boost is about 3 psi less in the summer, same as mine.
I have a 15 psi pulley on it but with tomorrows temp of 118 , I'll be lucky to see 10 psi.
