When replacing a window regulator in a 200 CV do you have to remove the window?
I've done plenty of older vehicles and never had to take out the window.

The glass has to be removed before the regulator can come out. If you can remove the outer belt molding, it will make things easier.

I've never pulled the glass, drilled out the rivets and used tape to hold the glass in the "up" position, plenty of room to get the regulator out. That's just me, you may have better luck pulling the glass out, I have seen it done both ways, I say what ever way works out best is the one to choose.

My '97 Cobra is the same way. That's the main reason the window still isn't working - I hear it's a PITA to remove and replace the glass.

I used to use 3/4" heated hose sections wedged in between the glass and the door to hold the glass up.
