What's up guys well seems like my Marauder is having some problems at the moment, so I wanted to ask for some help you guys always seem to come through. Well my sister borrowed my cars about an hour ago for some runs, she came back and told me the car started making a loud ticking sounding and that the AC stop working. went out, turned her on to listeni to the sound sure enough it started making it and overheating. Popped the hood to see if anything strange was going on and this is what I saw

seems like my A/C compressor could be on its way out just wanted to confirm my guess.
My sister never even notice the car was overheating so i am worried about that
As always thanks for the help

The clicking/tapping noise continues after the compressor disengages, so that tells me it's the clutch, not the compressor itself.
As far as the overheating, that could be many things...blocked airflow through the radiator, air in the system, bad water pump, defective thermostat...

Hi
I was leaning towards the freewheeling alternator pulley making the noise as it was still making the noise after the A/C compressor disengaged

does your cooling fan work? If you cooling fan motor died, the car would both overheat, and have no AC because of no airflow across the condenser. If it's been overheated badly the damage is probably already done to the engine.

Thanks for the help so far fellas. Went outside to check on it again because it was way to hot to stay out there before cars cooled down, heat has also. Seems as if the the problems seems to be coming from the fan once it starts to spin, when the heat or ax comes on other wide the car acts as if nothing is wrong. I looked so see if maybe the fan came loose seems as if it hasn't. I'm scratching my head now

stop running the car and have it towed to a shop. If you have insufficient cooling you are going to ruin the engine, if you haven't already. Impossible to tell over the internet but sounds like you may have a failing cooling fan motor.
