Recently I started to get a check engine light. The scan gauge sees it as P1633. Is it correct that it is low voltage? If it is, I just replaced the alternator just recently. What the hell!?

Same here. My Marauder is at the shop right now and had the starter replaced. Mechanic said he would need to chase down the wire and look for corrosion and or like wise. For $50-$60 I will give it a crack myself.
This link had info: http://www.justanswer.com/ford/18g5e-p1633-keep-alive-power-voltage-low-obd-code.html#re.v/462/

Thats' the Keep Alive Memory low voltage code..not just a you have low volts in your battery. There could be a bad connection, wire chaffing in the harness which goes behind the head is a known spot.

Okay sounds like you are getting specific. Where are the start and end points of this wire? Is it likely to be chaffing in a certain spot? Do you know the path that the wire takes between the two end points? I think I know where the PMC is if it is on the driver side by the wheel.
Thank you for the help, RuberCtyRauder!

I believe it rubs on the passenger cam cover area by firewall, that is one spot of wiring issues, not specifically this one. You'll have to open the bundle up and see.. Also is he battery good? does it register 12+v when off? using a mulitmeter? a new alternator does not mean a good battery

Fixed it for you.

Specifically the harness rubs on one of the bolts that secures the cowl.

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate all the help. What are the endpoints of this wire? Is it the PCM (located on firewall driver side) and the battery?

It's not the endpoints.......... just check the harness behind the drivers side cam cover.

I think he is just wanting to ohm out the wires?

They all start at the interior fuse box connector and spaghetti from there..

If he wants to ohm out the wires he'll need an electrical manual.

If the harness is damaged it's very noticeable.

Check Engine Light
So the problem came back.:violin:
I get a check engine light, but now the Scan Gauge does not even work.
Plus when i try to put another scanner into the ODB port it does not read anything. I am starting to think that the wiring harness can be the problem.
What do you guys think?
Has anyone else seen this symptom?

Did you inspect the wiring harness areas as listed above?

Not yet, so you are thinking that it can be the same thing that i was thinking. So OK, i am taking the correct route. And what the prior posts brought up.
Thanks
