question about traction control

I was cleaning my.car the other day I have a 03 mm.300A I stumbled upon this does anyone knw what it is could it.be a TC switch

300As were not equipped with TC.

That is the passenger seat ejector button. Only use it when you are doing burnouts with your wife in the car and she starts hitting you in the shoulder. Right Rex?

That's right where the TC button is on a 300b, so most likely that's what it's there for. Ford knew they were going to add it, so the wiring harnesses probably all came that way.

In case you were going to ask, no you can't just install the button and have traction control. ;)

my 300a has the wire as well, has the t/c relay under the hood but no t/c. I believe the early 300a's did not have the wiring for t/c.

The wiring is there, but they don't have TC software in the PCM or the ABS controller.

Just had the dash apart on an '03 and it is a connector for the traction control. Checked the '03 factory wiring manual and it says traction control.

They will typically use the same wiring bundle for all versions of a car. All 03s probably have this because the wiring bundle was probably common with the GM. You could hook up the witch, but you still would not have TC. It is disabled in the computer.
