Is it necessary to replace the drier (or A/C suction accumulator) from time to time?

Hi Coupe

Usually the suction accumulator is only replaced if you have to open up the system to replace another component such as the evaporater or compressor, very occasionally the dessicant bag splits open and clogs everything with silica gel.

No it is not necessary to replace the receiver / dryer from time to time.

If you have to open up the system for any king of work I'd replace it.
