Having sold my MM a couple months ago and not really being active on this site, I still had the itch for a fast Ford and I tried to stay with the uniqueness of the MM so I picked up a 1990 LSC Special Edition off a stand up member of lincolnmarkviiclub.com. It's the car I've wanted even before I got my first MM: Here are a couple pictures:

Love it!, did you have any issues fitting the wheels? Did you need spacers or anything?

I like them black too, I didn't even really notice the moldings being black as opposed to the body color

Nope. I've heard there are restrictions, but the shop knew about it and haven't had a problem.

We are on our third Mark VII. Love them. +1 on removing the air silencer. Next replace the intake hose with a larger mustang one or an aftermarket one. Next step eliminate the cats.

Best all around car I have ever owned. I like things about it more than the Marauder but don't want to give up either of them.

I put 97 Mustang Wheels on mine.

I wanted that back in 1992. Settled for a 1992 Courgar XR7 with
the 5.0 HO engine. Last of that breed.

Purchased a Used Mark VIII when my neighbors tree fell and crushed it.

Honestly, I hated these cars new. I thought they looked to thin...and then the glasses came off when I went and looked at a 90BB. Liked it but then I didn't want the hassle of the air ride. In the end, wish I had bought one sooner, and I would have went right for the LSD Special Edition in red...no doubt...

Good luck with your new ride. LSC's are awesome cars, stock or modded. Only LSC Special Editions had color keyed body side mouldings. Here's a shot of my mildly modded 1988. Bought this way back in '90 from the orig owner.

OK, how did you get those Da*n turbo coupe inserts in the hood!?!? I want to do that to mine since I had an 88 Cougar XRY with that Turbo hood from a Bird...

I installed those about 20 years ago. Used body panel epoxy adhesive. Good eye, most people think they are stock.
