I'm not making this up. Remember the "I loaned Mom the Marauder" thread? She called a few minutes ago and a kid ran a stop sign and hit her. Everybody is okay- I haven't seen the car yet- Mama says "the front thingee is broken around the driver's side headlight". I think thingee means facia. Yes, the other driver is insured too. I think it was the Boomtown Rats who said it best, "I don't like Mondays." :( :(

That is horrible news. I hope your mom doesn't feel bad, even though it wasn't her fault. :(
At least the kid was insured! Hope you get her all fixed up.
OUCH! Very sorry to here this, glad to here your Mom is O.K.!
Lot's of us have been here, thought she'd never be the same...but I can assure you...get her fixed up by a good shop and you'll never think of it again.

She feels awful and was crying when she called- that really breaks my heart- Mama's had a rough March. I told her it was going to go in the shop to have the trunk de-badged anyway but she knows my relationship with this car. It'll be fixed and that's all okay but I don't know what to say to make her feel better.

Sounds like we need to get together and compare damage from my wreck last week. Or at least go somewhere and cry in our beers!

Tell me about it, Dean!!! We need to take Johnman too. He loaned his Blue MM to his mom and she had a minor T/A too. The month of March has not been kind to NTM members. I guess the upside is that I'll never forget Logan's birthday!!:D

It's bad enough when the owner does it, but the borrower?
I'll agree use the 'Moms more important line'....brownie points and all....but if it were my mom....she'd be grounded for a month!:D

2003MIB,
Glad to haer that your mother was not injured in the crash. As people have stated I am sure she is feeling very depressed about the accident. Buy her some flowers and take her out to dinner to show her you are not mad. If she is still feeling depressed break out the old photo album and talking about the good old days when you were just a little tyke.
One more thing was it a Honda that hit your car?

No Sir, a big honkin' white 1995 Lincoln Town Car. Sort of a "Clash of the Titans". I too, wondered about the "Honda Connection" but this wasn't one of them....19yo girl...I'm just glad no one was injured...

The girl who hit me was 19 or 20, as well. I know we were all there once, but young drivers scare the bejesus out of me. Experience is everything when it comes to operating vehicles. As the fly boys say, there's no substitue for air under your butt. In this case, there's no substitute for asphalt under your butt.

Welcome to the club, Dan. I can't believe it happened to you, especially since I told you about mine just as your Mom had driven off with yours-I hope you don't think I cursed you!( I just saw your thread today as I'm not getting on the site as much as I used to) My Mom felt horrible too, and I didn't know what to say either. It wasn't her fault-a guy to the right of her tried to turn left even though he wasn't in the turn lane. Sc***** the RF and then sped off. Thankfully, Mom didn't give chase but she didn't get the license plate either. I had John Eagle do the work and got some dings fixed on the rear bumper as well. J-E did mostly excellent work, except the rear bumper wasn't properly smoothed and polished when I went to pick it up, so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes while they finished the job, and I'm going to need to take it back again as there's still a rough whitish area underneath on the left side (I'm anal about my MM) Paint match and smoothness is beautiful, though. Maybe there needs to be a Marauder Moms support group ("Hi, My name is Joy and I damaged my son's Marauder..)
