It Finally Happened....

I got hit... side swiped actually by an 18 wheeler. Its obvious he didnt check his mirrors. He was turning left... And then i suppose he wanted to turn right... Right into me that is, while i was on his side. If i didnt gas it I'm sure it would have been a whole lot worse... but he got me... smh.
Now lets see what progressive can pull out their ass.

No Fatalities No Injuries

I had to push the front door molding back down and push the bumper back up behind the wheel due to rivets and stuff had been popped, it was hanging.

Dude seen how hot i was... he didnt exit the truck until the police came.

Hate to see this dude...glad you are o.k. and the car is not that badly damaged. You may have to fight them to not total the car. There are bumper covers out there to be had though.

Sooo sorry to here, but glad noone was hurt...yet...:D(truck driver). Can the bumper be patched at least with it being on the side. Not a fan of truckers since one clipped the front of my Cougar and sent me spinning...

I didnt even realize it but my tire had a few deep cuts in it, im surprised it wasnt losing air. And also the rim has damage to it.

Yo I actually laughed at this.... But maybe I should fab a custom exhaust and have the tip coming out the side of the bumper?... How u like that idea?... I cant be tacky and just have it on one side tho.. so i would have to punch a hole on the passenger side also. :banana:

They did a crappy paint job... But the whole car needs to be painted.. So i wont stress it for now. Least i dont have the Vic bumper on my ass anymore.

I never knew how much those letters ment until i didnt have them. i felt like a busta when i had the CV bumper.
They took the SS inserts out and messed them up a lil, their still somewhat clean.. a scratch here and there. Still has glue on the back. if anyone wants them u can have them for the free. Just give me your addy. U can have a marauder mailbox or tool chest or something.

Is that what's called Plastic weld in the 1st picture? Heard of it and my car is in paint having front & rear bumpers done. Painter say he got to use plastic weld on bottom of front cover but you can't see this area where he got to fix from previous owner bumping something and had the bumper misaligned on both sides.

Sorry to see the damage.. But really dude ... that was so your fault.. i have been a truck driver,, He swung left in order to make the right turn.. you ran around on his blind side.. he cant see you when he is in the middle of a turn..
I know his insurance will pay.. but really its your fault for not staying back and giving him room to make the turn..

Yes i believe it is plastic welding. Seems like no body shops do it anymore.. they just do the R&R (remove and replace) aspects of bodywork. I had to actually take the bumper to a bumper repair place.

And to u hadamustang1... I understand that u feel he may be your truck driving brother or something but at no point was I wrong. Me myself and I... my passenger... and 2 other witnesses (not with me) saw he had his Left turn signal on. The only reason he was not issused a sitation was because there are no designated lanes drawn on the ground to divide the driveway. The officer even witnessed ppl exiting the driveway in the same manner while we were at the accident scene. But its over with for now... if i ever see the driver again im gonna punch him in his face.
