It looks like we going to have to keep our eyes peeled for a DTR and a Blue for you to fill out your "fleet". Maybe you'll get a quanity discount on parts on top of the old day's "racer's discount". I used to get parts at Bert Weinman Ford for 10% above cost before they closed.
I'm hoping to get back to the city again this year,I'd love to see you guys and the MM's and my "kid brother" Dom. I wish you could've made it to Dave & Busters,you're a darn good guy and a real good friend. I stayed a couple extra days in Chicago to make that meet.Seeing all those DTR's there got me so excited I lost my camera,lol.
I might be coming out before Halloween to pick up another Harley and I may build a chopper with the parts from the one I've got sitting here with a bad frame.

Well,not a brand new Harley but newer than the bagger.
I really like the simple chopper in the Allstate mayhem commercial the idiot throws down.It looks like my first chopper from way back in '75.I ain't big on the color but the only real changes I'd make would be to get rid of the fork "gaiters" (dust covers) and the side mount tail light/license plate.I always liked a high mount Sporty tank and a nice simple bike,nothing on it that doesn't do something,form follows function.Like an AK.

man I don't know the history but that car was on e-bay June 23rd and I had 2nd chance buy option. I was going to get it but person kept talking about shipping and I was going in person to get it. It was in Crown Point, Indiana. I had never heard of Crown Point but found out its 45-50 miles from Chicago. I had my list of items to take to go get it but when seller kept talking about shipping I stepped back because I thought it might be a scam. I got ripped off a few years back falling for that so I said never ever again. If it was closer to Texas I'm sure I'd own it.
I had second chance for $8075 but was skeptical as I stated. But it was a nice looking car even with the accident issue. if you look at the bids you will see derrickp5050 on June 23rd for $7975 I wanted it to match my truck. :cool:

Kinda glad now because since then: Had to spend almost $1000 on my Taurus that my grandson drives, my Marauder's A/C O-rings & accompanying problems, $2200 for my oldest daughter a 2001 Taurus, 1 of my 2 home A/C units went out that's another $2300 and I want to get my Marauder painted & and the front bumper on my Lightning painted:shake: So I guess buying another Marauder wasn't the best thing at the time

Them people seem like pretty honest folks from my first impressions,not shysters like the rest adding on $450-$800 "fees" in the incidentals "to check the bike over and make sure it's eligible for a Harley extended warranty".My achin booty,they're simply padding their profits,a full 10000 mile service covering changing all the fluids,etc.,etc,is only around $350.
