Question...I'm wanting more noise from the exhaust. I already replaced the mufflers but am wondering if having the resonators removed from the tips would be worth the expence. About how much more will it increase the rumble...if any??? ANd I like the tips the way they are, don't want to replce them right now.

Not much more rumble. You would get more rumble by removing the second set of cats. The tips more or less just fine tune the exhaust note coming out, with the res in it muffles the note, without them it can bellow the exhaust note out tad bit more.

Can you just remove them or would you have to get two larger cats to replace the four???

Remove all 4 and replace with 2 hi-flo cats.

Just remove the rear cats and replace with exhaust pipe.

See I am curious about this...

I have Kooks headers to a custom X pipe through some gigantic magnaflows and out the factory tips. Car is quiet, all you hear is the trilogy whine...

Debating on going with res delete tips, scared it will get too raspy tho!

I went with just plain jain Flowmasters. I'd say it almost doubled the rumble of stock. It has a nice sound when I get on it I just want a little more rumble without getting into the throttle. I'm used to my LSC 5.0L rumble with a set of Bullets. It has a niiiice rumble even when sitting still. That's what I want for the Marauder.

X-pipe causes most of the rasp. H-pipe will give a lot of low end rumble. Opening up the over axle part of the pipe makes a big difference also as it is pretty restrictive.

I have magnaflow and res delete... and love it.... gurgles low, rumbles mid, and snarles a little when pressed.

I will have to look into replacing my Flowmasters with something a little more potent since I priced getting the hiflo cats and am not willing to pay the price for that right now...

I picked up a set of hi-flow cats for the MM on jegs for like $29 each.

Not as bad as you think and you dont really need the $300 super high performance cats. That 2 /20ths of a second is not gonna make a difference on a NA car :)

I'm going for more noise out the back. The shop that installed my mufflers wanted $400 for those cats...I stopped checking after that...

Gotcha;)

If you buy the two high flow cats from jegs then bring it to the muffler shop and have them drop the 4 cats and then put these on they should be able to fab up some pipes for you and your system will be alot louder.

Also make sure you grab the two catalytic converter pipes (4 cats) as you can take them to the recyclers and get some money for them. Dont let the muffler shop make out twice on you:banana2:
