Well I found some time between projects to
post up pics of what im working on I finally
finished my 46 ford pickup,so I deceided
why not build my own convertible MM.
I will keep you all posted with the progress.
next I have to remover the B pillar and move
it back 10 inches then stagger cut the doors
and add the donor door that will be cut
10 inches longer then
weld back together and rebrace doors.

Did you happen to support the body? I believe when you cut the roof off the body has a tendency to then flex. Just curious and awesome work!

The working top my come in the future

As for the flex of the body no need due to the fact that i will be moveing the B-pillar back 10 inches I do have the measuements for the width.

when we saw the car at mecum I took a ton of detailed photos of the original concept MM

It's nice to have the talent to do something like this. I remember when they first showed the convert at the Auto show if they made it I was going to buy one, they didn't so I bought another towncar and my Son got Interested in the Marauders.

Since the car is body on frame not much will be needed for body flex. However the A-pillars were not designed to work alone so you'll need to either beef them up or install some sort of roll bar.

Let me know when it may be possible. It would be nice to see some of the other guys too like Jake -Smokie- Claude also etc.

Moved the B pillar back and extened the driver door. Check out the tiny rear door opening that needs to be filled in and braced

So happy someone resurrected this thread. The blue and whit marauder is really striking!

The fat stripes really make the car look smaller (not as long).

Wow. Anyone else have pictures of Marauders with stripes?

I want to finish a "Marauder Eleanor..."

Who has Nav Chap's Marauder? It looked similar as far as stripes , on dark blue.
