So been a member here for like three years, Marauder-less. We are finally able to buy me a car (after the wife had bought a new Challenger R/T of course) and the money is COMING!!!! Should be here in the mail in 5 to 7 business days, then check has to clear the bank of course.

This leads me to my question. Is there a "buyer's guide" of sorts on this site? I have used the search function to no avail. Just was kind of curious what to look for in a "gently used" Marauder in the $10k - $14k range... common issues etc. I'm pretty good at picking cars apart, being a dealership tech. Thanks in advance for any help or tips, just want to find the perfect (or as close to it) car. Been waiting for what seems like FOREVER. But the money is FINALLY on it's way!!!

On a side note, the wife is a Mopar girl and tried to talk me into a Hemi Magnum and I ALMOST DID IT until I got back on here and poked around and remembered why I love these cars. I worked at a dealership that sold Mercury's when these came out. Wanted one from the first time I saw the first one come down off the truck!

I looked at a few Magnums RTs before I settled on the MM. I don't regret it at all. Good luck.

Magnums are cool, and I was a Chrysler Dodge Jeep tech for over a decade and have driven most all of the SRT stuff, but there is a romance to the Marauder. It's not as fast or (some may say) as menacing or badass looking, just something unspoken there. Elusive creature she has been to me. Only driven a couple, and driven HUNDREDS of 5.7 Magnums and Chargers and Grand Cherokees and dozens of SRT whatever's. Chargers, Magnums, Grand Cherokee's, Calibers, Neons, and a Crossfire. SRT Magnums are cool as heck but a bit out of my price range AND crazy expensive to maintain with Brembos all the way around and 16 copper core spark plugs it eats every 30k miles. Wife already has a Hemi Challenger and that would make 32 spark plugs every 30k (!!!)

Enough of the technical garbage, as the wife has said, when the money is there I'll get what I want and this is what I have wanted.

BRING ME MY MAN-SHIP!!! and another Blue Moon Punkin Ale... It's a celebration Gentlemen!

There is a guy in Minnesota with a blue marauder for sale in your price range. They didn't make many of the blue ones. These cars seem pretty low maintenance.. hold on I have to knock on wood.

Just want to say thanks to all the members on here who have sent PM's about their cars, they are all great. I do have a car in my sights, and will be driving to Missouri to check it out here soon. Black 300A with a spoiler garage queen with 80k original owner with all dealer paperwork and the jacket IN MY SIZE! Pretty excited... Looks like an amazing car, and a Black MM would look pretty sweet next to the wife's Black Challenger.

AWESOME man!!

Happy for you. It's been a long wait for you and I'm glad a Marauder is with in your grasps.

I know there is another member here YBBORED has been thinking of selling his Black 80,000 mile Marauder. Lives in Michigan. I just saw him Saturday and told a few of us he is interested in selling his Merc. Shoot him a PM too.

A SRT8 Magnum is def not in that price range...with 120K miles they still want almost 20k for them! A guy in "the south" is selling his supercharged Marauder for 10.8...get it!

I'd be pushing my luck with the spousal unit trying to get a blown Marauder... we just went to the track the other night and she ran a 13.85 in her Challenger. I was quite proud! I could only crack a 13.95 but I do weigh about 100 pounds (or more) than her... I think she's quite comfortable with a stock Marauder sharing the driveway.

That's awesome man, congrats!! Very exciting.

Best of luck with it. Challengers and Magnums are cool no doubt but other cars don't scramble to get out of THEIR way.....you'll see.
