Paxton SL supercharger oil?

I ordered some supercharger oil from AMP performance and got it today. The stuff I have used before is in a paxton bottle, is red and smells like mercon V atf. This stuff is green and has a sweet smell to it. Called them (AMP) and they say its the same, just bulk and they bottle it.
Anyone have any experience with this stuff, or thoughts about it?

I don't know anything about either of them, but I would say for something as critical as supercharger lube, I wouldn't take chances...use the factory stuff.

That's what I'm thinking too. They promise its fine, but man.....if its not.

Question, why did you order from AMP in the first place, price? Did they publish any specs that you can compare?

I just ordered and receive my three bottles of red Paxton S/C lube, so I know Paxton still makes the product.

You can put a little of each product in a small container and see if they feel the same? I know it's not a real test but it may offer a clue. The fact that it smells different may mean it's chemically different.

Like the Hertz rental car commercial says "not exactly".

Let us know the results if you try it.

Yes, price and time to get here. Picture was of the bottles I have used, Paxton bottle, red fluid, what came is not what was in the picture. Wondering about trying half/ 2 oz. Of what they sent and half mercon V. Paxton stuff sure smells like it.

Choosing a supercharger lube by smell is risky at best. Unless you know for sure that the Paxton stuff is in fact just overpriced Mercon V, you're on your own if something goes wrong.

I hear ya! Chickened out and ordered some from Jegs. Think I will try and return the stuff from AMP. Wanted fresh oil for the trip to Atlanta Dragway tonight but......
