With the current modifications to the Marauder being chips, plugs, thermostat, gears and driveshaft. Has anyone considered how the vehicle will respond at high speed? What about brakes, cooling and vehicle dynamics? Just a thought!

Mensrea already has Bears on his ride, although most users on here are pretty impressed with the stopping ability of the stockers.

Cooling I don't see as a problem, especially with the new computer config and cooler stat.

As far as dynamics go, did cars of the 60's have dynamics?!?! NO... they were led boxes doing 120+ Funny you should mention that though. When I was up at the dealership getting my rear bumper pinned back in, we were talking about someone needing to make some ground effects for the MM like that of the 2003 Lincoln LS. I'd say new rocker moulding and something to bring the bottom of the rear bumper down a little lower. However, some are achieving this lower look by dropping the rear air a tad.

When you add more power into a vehicle, you need to verify where the weak link will be. More speed creates a need for better brakes, suspension, axles, transmission upgrade and cooling. These are some of the basics you need to address. Has anyone looked at what the design limits are for the current Marauder?

I don't think most of use will be using that kind of speed on the highway. If you/we are, then we all need our heads examined. For every day driving needs, the car fits mine nicely. I doubt that you 'd even be able to use the added speed even at an open track event. There you'd need added braking, but even the Mustang Cobra folks want/need added braking for those type events.

When you increase power in a vehicle, you need to find the weak link. Power upgrades affect alot of systems at low speeds. Increased transmission loading, driveshaft twist and axle issues. This is not just a high speed issue.

The Marauder was designed with a certain power model and the parts where built around this model. Change the model and you need to upgrade the parts. Finding the weak link is always a challenge.
