whats the dates for 2014?
Same as this year....Jan 1, Jan 2, Jan 3, Jan 4, Jan 5, Jan 6.... :D
Just my opinion, but methinks we should look into another hotel for Looseville. Wasn't allowed to have any fun under the canopy last year, and after getting 'shut down' rather quickly at both the Hampton and Homewood in GA this past weekend, I'm getting a little annoyed that we aren't getting much of a chance to have some late-night fun....again, just my opinion.

Even though I have not been to looseville, I heard someone mention before about pushing it back a couple weeks to a little later in April to allow a few more weeks of better weather and temps. I'm hopin to make it down to one of them these days.

I do the Bourbon theme every other year as choices are limited on Distilleries.
Later during the month of April won't work due to the Ky Derby festivities and inflated hotel rates. Just to name a couple.
Keep in mind folks, I have a very small window of opportunity in putting this together. For example...
Mid America Trucking Show - March
Thunder Over Louisville - April
Good Friday/Easter Sunday - April
I have to avoid all the above, and will say that it looks like the beginning of April for next year.
Not having a clue what I will plan as quite frankly, I have just about exhausted all the "cool stuff" to do in Louisville.
Taking it outside of Louisville is doable, but is a serious PITA as I am out of my "stomping ground."

Mike you do a tremendous job putting this event together every year and we have no right to complain about what you schedule. Honestly just chilling at the hotel and being able to relax is fine with me

Also Mike,
(to echo Jerry's statement above), I'm not professing to be a mastermind when it comes to putting stuff together and heck it was my first Louisville attended last year so it might not even be my place to say this considering the folks that have been regulars for several years now... My point being is that I view Louisville as a mini-vacation. A great time to chill, relax, catch up with friends, drink, LCR, etc. Sometimes cramming a whole bunch of events into one weekend leaves me leaving feeling more exhausted than when I arrived. But I wouldn't trade a second of it without an amazing 50+ Marauder caravan on I-64:beer:

Granted, I was only there Fri and Sat night, so don't know about the previous nights.
However, Friday night there were a handful of us sitting on the patio at the Hampton; the desk lady came out and told us she had a noise complaint and if she got another one she was going to have to call the police. Some of us went to Homewood, but we were inside, and all momentum towards having a great BS & drinking event was killed.
The next night, me, Comin' in Hot, and two other fellows were outside, no drinks, just talking (not loud, just normal conversation) and the desk person told us the same thing...she got a noise complaint and would have to call the police if she got another one.
Despite the antics at Looseville involving dropped pants and moving planters, there were still issues with being able to hang out under the canopy...just ask Doom.
I'm not saying I didn't have a good time at either place...maybe I'm just expecting too much?:dunno:
Regardless of the when and where, if I can make an event by God I'll be there....

True, we were up until 5am.....I guess I'm being too critical about the whole deal. I just don't remember having issues at MV9 or Looseville in 2012 like there was at this year's Looseville and MV....
