"Cobra Guy" on plane...

Ok So I was boarding the 5:50pm Shuttle home from SEA yesterday... And there is the older guy wearing a big thick heavy leather BLACK jacket.... (think fighter pilot--only black)... with serious stitching and COBRA on the back... I usually don't chat up people in que to board... but this line was boarding slowly, and this jacket was a serious leather jacket... and the more I looked at it, the thicker and more expensive it appeared, so I complimented him, "Sir, that jacket is really something, it is a beautiful jacket! Are you a Ford guy?" He said, "Yes, I used to work for Carroll Shelby!" "Wow," I replied, "that must have been awesome!"... and a little later and further down the ramp, I mentioned that I had just picked up a Mercury Marauder... and was trying to find a second...


And he said, "You must be the only person who is..."


It was 5:50PM on Friday... and that was FAR out of line... What a TOOL!

especially since I was just making light friday pm small talk. not like I was making a value comparison between any two things nor... X....

The exact opposite happened two years ago when a really really wealthy man a met commented how when he drove his very expensive "bulls and horses" (his words not mine) to the sunday coffee meets, he NEVER got as much attention as when he drove his 2004 SILVER MM. He even asked me about our "cult!" LOL...

I learned a while back that what people wear rarely has anything to do with them. Most have no idea what they have on.
