Well I went on a road trip two weeks ago to Florida, and on the way home, I got caught in one of those lovely September rain storms in Florida. I had a serious mishap and spun in some standing water on I75 just north of Gainesville. Luckily I didn't hit anything, but yesterday I realized that I lost a piece of door trim on the passenger side. Where can I get a replacement?

Member big cowl-imp had some trim not too long ago..not sure if it all sold..he has his own forum category here and is in MI. Not sure if Crown Vic/Marquis trim is the same..Highly doubtful that Ford has any left as with most Marauder specific parts they are discontinued and pretty much gone. Another member here might have some though.

Yeah, I was thinking that removing all of it might the final option if I can't find any replacement.

There will be a .750 size hole in the rear door if you remove the trim. I'm sure someone here will know if another door trim can be used. you will need to remove the adhesive on your door and put new onthe trim itself. I;ve heard the 3M eraser wheels work very good at removing adhesive etc..without harming paint. Send a pm to big cowl imp..it;s worth it to check

Rock Auto has (or had) replacement pieces. Actually, I think Tascaparts has OEM pieces as well.

Check for Marauder or Crown Vic sport. I think they are very similar.

Ford parts catalog still shows the bodyside molding as available for the Marauder. I believe it was also used on the 2005 and newer CV.

After seeing Sherman's car with out the trim I was thinking about taking mine off. Looks very good without it. But I did not know about the hole under the trim.
