Relax, Mo will do it right. That 3.6 pulley on a D1SC is pushing a good amount of boost at the top, so, he will add fuel and pull timing to give you a completely safe tune with high horsepower. Not a prob!

What kind of boost pressure would you guess? I know nada about these setups on these cars!

The boost builds slower than a roots, but, from my recollection, a 3.6 pulley w/D1SC should net about 16psi @ 6300. I could be wrong, but, that's gotta be pretty close with high compression/stock internals.

I understand difference in boost build up with centri... Hmm 16 psi on stock internals... Seems risky. Tune will be only savior... Keep it rich and under sparked!

I have been talking to Marty, and he recommended I have options just in case the 3.60 pulley was too much. If triplethreat can't overnight me the pulleys to Marty's then I'll just have to cancel my appt and wait until I get some larger pulleys. I was reaching out to some ga members simply because they would be easier to get in short notice

Hard to say which is the benefit of having that package of pulleys.
The estimates range from 400 to 475. Throw out the high and low and your left with about 435 HP. Achievable yes, sustainable on the engine you have, edgy.
Stock exhaust is a limiting factor at that level 400+.
You said you wanted fun and safe. Then I would recommend keeping boost around 10 lb and HP down to 420 or less.
Others are very interested in what happens, so please post up, with particulars.
I intend to visit Mo's in the next couple of months, if all goes as planned.

If I leave there and not be able to run it to its full potential then that's fine too. Right now it's just a sitting duck. At least I can drive it after I leave. How hard will be the question.

Remember too that the Centri needs a little rpm before boost really builds..like 3000 -3500 ish..So driving around town as usual/"normal" and crusing at freeway speeds, the car will act like no changes really. It's not like the second you step on the throttle you have 450 hp..That is usually near 6000 rpm. You can drive it like usual and have the pull whenever you feel like it. This is just what it sort of feels to me with mine, Others may experience something diffferent.

Generally 10psi is the safe spot for stock internals. Anything higher then that and it's getting risky. I'll say 440rwhp and 400-410tq.
JoeBoomz

One option is to tune it to shift at lower RPM's, keeping the boost levels down on the top end.

A little off topic... but the guys who are going procharged or vortech... are you buying a kit? Or are you putting parts together? Like would a procharger system for an 03 cobra kit work pretty much just have to change some things? Couldn't really find a whole lot for centri superchargers..

Shift it at 5500 and it will last a long time. It's fun to drive it as the boost kicks in, eh? (Yes that's a Canadian eh, I am entitled)
Congrats on the successful finish of your build project!
If you weren't happy with the extra boost I might suggest we swap head units ;). I would happily put that D1SC on my cobra block, and my V-2 would be nice and gentle on your motor... :p

Thanks! Well thats just for now. He modified my shift points like you mentioned. No worries, it will never see 6500. I'm going to install a larger pulley and then let them tweak the tune. Honesty it's very satisfying now. I freakin love it. It feels like a new car. I can't say whether I was more happy to be getting my car tuned today or just hanging out at Mo's during the process. Joe I think I'm going to hold on the the D1 for just a little bit longer. I kinda like it.
1stMerc, he said the boost was climbing when he got out of it around 13psi. AFR was around 11.3-11.5. I can't remember right off. Still coming down off this high.
Oh I forgot to mention. He said the pump was performing like it should. The BAP was on 0, and we never touched it or mentioned it for that matter while tuning
