I'll give this # to my mech tomorrow and have him check it out . There seems to be a lot of confusion over fuel pump #s I just don't understand how Ford can legally abandon a car they built and not even offer tech assistance to owners. I have no mods and just want tgo keep her running---oh , by the way, the estimate is $817 installed, if we can find a pump. Does O'reilly list a pump for us ???????
Well, enough of that---I just became a great-grandfather this morning to a 8 lb 2 oz 22 inch long bouncing baby boy. That makes all the other problems go away. Ginny was taken to the hospital last Wednesday for suspected stroke. Found out she had a very dangerous bacterial infection that had progressed to the critical point--thank God, they identified the 3 streins of bacteria and knocked the H--l out of it. She is back home and doing fine. Four nights in a hospital recliner took it's toll on me--but all is well now. I guess when you are 85 things start to fall apart. Thanks for your concern and friendship--it means a lot. I'll keep you posted. Maury

Hey Maury, how old is the little one in your avatar now?
Glad the misses is doing okay and congrats on the new arrival. That's a big baby.
Take care,

That price is within the range of what a shop would charge to replace a pump.
Let us know if you get it back on the road or have any trouble.

I ran out and got this pic of my stock pump for him a little while ago. I may as well post it here since there is some confusion.

I noticed it has a date of 10/05 on it. Does that mean this pump was made in '05? Also i guess that could mean it has been replace since my car is an '03

Pump swap should be 1.5 hours plus the cost of the pump.
Quoted price seems to be a bit high....I wish my Uncle Maury lived closer to my shop!
