View Full Version : So how fast did it go in the 1/4?

Finally got out to Milan dragway and got 4 runs in and everytime i changed the timeing it went faster. So far i have gained a 1/2 second playing with timeing.......I just wish we had more time....

Car is a clean 90 notchback Mustang with a stockish LS3 6.2l motor thats converted to carburator and a front mount distributer.........

GM LS3 crank 3.622 stroke
GM cnc L92 heads with upgraded intake valves for nitrous
GM rocker arms with Comp Trunion upgrages
GM LS3 timeing chain and gears
GM LS7 lifters
GM front mount distributer kit
GM LSA alum. block with oil squirters...was decked .008 to make flat.
Diamond coated pistons +.005.. 4.070 bore with 11.5:1 cr 377ci.
Trend push rods
Wagner crank driven water pump
620 lift hydrolic roller cam
Edelbrock carb. intake manifold
New Pro systems Carburater that was biult to the motor specs.
pump gas
3 inch exhaust to the axle.
28x10.5x15 slicks
373 gears with spool

Thats a cool swap! Surely made that Fox move. However personally a Fox body with a Coyote 5.0 ltre swap would be my choice.
