Drive one for a couple weeks (5.0) that just might change! Ive owned a whole lot of diff cars/sprt cars & my 2012 GT is very possibly 1 of the best cars Ive owned. just my opinion.

2 times I traveled I rented thru hertz. They have had the performance group of rentals consisting of current model year Corvettes,Camaro,Challenger,Mu stang GT for several years now. Both times I rented a Stang GT. I had made reservations for a Vette1 of the times however, last renter had not returned it at the time. They tried to offer me a Challenger. No thanks Ill take the 5.0.
The Penske/Hertz option is new though kinda like a throwback to 60's Hertz Stang Fastback rentals

Back in the 60's my cousin and his freinds would fly down to Fla and rent a car and paint numbers on the sided and go racing, numbers (water paint) so they would wash off and return car. Once down at one of the speedways they rented a ford so they could switch engines, they had a 292 and the rental car had a 312. they did this several times and never got caught!!!! Thinking back one engine blew so they switched engines from the Hertz car and returned that one to! They even gave Hertz a bad time for car with bad engine so Hertz never charged them for the rental Never got caught!

They did this in 2006 and 2007 too. Most were black with gold stripes but a few convertible were gold with black stripes. Pretty rare color combo.

I think the 2013/14 version being Coyote, would be more fun. Also, only 150 vs 500 made in 06/07

people complained about the auto - didn't sound weak in the video?
