Do a forum search. The short and skinny; on the 2003's some holes in the transmission valve body are carefully enlarged to allow firmer upshifts.

^^^^^^
The Jmod is also known by me as the Jerry mod
It includes:
Floating center caps (not the original one that doesn't float)
ENGRAVED cot plug (not the original one with a 1/4 square that strips out, NOT the original knock off that is an altered off the shelf bolt, but the non value added better looking one that is made from 304L stainless bar stock)
ENGRAVED oil pull (also made from 304L stainless steel but NOT the original yellow one)
You may also be interested in a modified lcm (that is a copy of the original but works better) offered by a vendor here
Or an improved bcm (which is also an improved altered original design) by the same vendor
I love this bar

Or if you do it yourself, just the cost of fluid, filter and 2 gaskets.

the JMOD can be done to the 2004's too. as far as the JMOD is concerned nothing has changed, despite what wikipedia says about it.
to make a long story short its a cheap shift kit.
basically you drop the trans pan. remove the filter. remove the valve body. unbolt the seperator plate from the valve body and enlarge a few of the holes by drilling them out. then you remove the cap from the 2-3 acumulator and discard the spring inside reinstall the cap. then you compress and remove the cap from the 1-2 acumulator and discard the lower 1-2 acumulator spring. reinstall the cap. reinstall the plate and valve body with new gaskets and put the rest back together.
makes for quicker and firmer shifts.
