Since it is Holloween, in no particular order, and IMHO:

The Thing: original was the scariest for me (as a little kid), but the 1980's remake was pretty good.

Fright Night: the original with Chris Sarandon was a good flick and had a decent sound track.

Lost Boys: not a real horror flick, but a decent movie and, again, good soundtrack

Holloween: the original

I'm sure that there are dozens more, but can't list them all, and I'm not that crazy about some of today's pure "gore for the sake of gore" movies.

A small indie horror film called Session 9 is up on my list. Pretty fitting too as we're heading to take a ghost tour this weekend on the Marauder Autumn Brewery Tour at the trans Allegheny lunatic asylum.

Not too late to join! See events forum for more information

I saw The Bride Of Frankenstein two nights ago and found it very sad.
