Ps4!!!

Anybody get it last nite?? Getting it today?? Had an opportunity but I think I'm going to wait a year or so. Besides that would have been $400 I wouldn't have to do my Xmas mod for the MM ;)

Lucky dog.....I read somewhere that Target fumbled the ball and accidentally sent out a batch of ps4's like a couple weeks early to people that had placed reserved orders online.

We sscored my 13 year old sons last night. We had mnissed the early buy deadline and I made him get out the phones, and we called every store, and make a list... we then stragtegically recalled all of the stores an hour or so later (mostly because he was getting grumpy) and worked the lists, and BAM one store started selling the remaining unsold units early. We flew out of house with out shoes, in Jammy bottoms (it was cold here 65 degrees!) and raced to the game store 5 miles away. I NEARLY BLEW THROUGH A STOP SIGN AT A DARK COUNTRY INTERSECTION at 40MPH (on purpose), and then slammed on the brakes at the last second, ONLY to find a patrol man sitting w/there lights off.

We got the 3rd to last. Had to go back at midnight to get it.

Cool thing was--made him work a plan--made him make the calls with me -- made him re-call after getting the not so nice customer service from many stores... after he'd lost hope... made him work a plan... and plan to go at 4:30 Am to one store etc.... 6:30 another...

And working the plan worked!

Lol sounded like a good father son bonding moment even if u were about to get a nice stop sign ticket.....I only wish it was 65 degrees here, did he get a chance to play it yet or is it off limits till the weekend or Christmas or something

I might just go buy another PS3 on the cheap since it does everything I need it to do.

PS4 can eat my shorts. The non backwards compatibly pisses me off to high hell when the technology exists to make it that way. I have way to much I've dumped into add ons on my older games.

I'll be waiting until prices drop. I also do not ever want a first generation console either. The fail rate of them is the highest they'll ever be.

This is right on the money.. My launch PS3 overheated and broke about 4 years after buying it. I purchased a barely used launch xbox 360 and that POS failed after a year when playing call of duty. I will never buy a launch anything ever again. The newest 360 and slim ps3 at my house are lightyears better than the crap they put out for launch deadlines.

I'm also not sold on either console yet. The xbox one doesn't even seem to easily be able to handle the new games at 1080p without the help of "the cloud" for some processing.. too much emphasis on the media/tv b.s. and less on the quality gaming experience. Too damn bad the new forza 5 will not be on the 360 as well.

Yep same here. I wasn't planning on getting a PS4 but after seeing the teaser trailer for Uncharted, I may change my mind.

so true. I only got my PS3 pretty recently. I have several games I've yet to play and several games I still want to get. It's pretty dumb that it's not backwards compatible. Even tho the PS3 was/is the same way. I can't see the point in going to a next-gen console just yet.

Yeah, Ill wait for all the "bugs" to be fixed first. So many people have had issues with the first iteration Xbox360 and PS3
Also I agree with you comment about the gaming experience. In that capacity, Sony has my vote. Simply by focusing on the gaming nature of the console rather than touting the social media aspect of it like Microsoft. Meh, I'm just not interested in posting on Facebook or Twitter via my console. I just want to play the damn game!

Did I mention that I'm super excited to see more of the uncharted game?? If uncharted releases as part of a PS4 bundled package, I may relent and give in at that time.

Problem is PS2 games did not have DLC, therfore going to the 3 was no big deal.

I just think the idea of keeping two damn consoles out is stupid looking and unnecessary. Plus I'd like to sell the old one to help fund the new one. Now I can't do that.

As guspech750 said. The 3 is still a decent unit. However I won't be purchasing anymore games for it. I use it to Stream via PS Media Server and watch netflix on it too.
