We are coming in from MB for his service. Are there any major road delays to be concerned about? Anything else I should know about the drive over? I have not been there before. I wish it wasn't for this reason... :(

Are you planning on taking I-20 from Florence to Columbia, then I-26 to I-385 to Greenvile? Your best bet would probably be to Google "I-20/26/385 road construction"....that's what I do when I want to find out about potential road delays.

It will be great to finally meet you, but ditto on the "wish it wasn't for this reason".

Drive safe!

I'm going to try to make it, but not promising anything right now. How are you going, and would you want to convoy there? I'll be coming out of Southport, NC. Google is taking me 74 to 95 to 20, although I could drop down to SC and do 31/22/501/20.

Babbage, yea I could use a boost right now...

Marty, thanks, that would be the route I'd be taking. I know there is some construction by Columbia. I thought someone may have experience with it.

fireandice, under normal circumstances I'd say yes, lets convoy. However, due to a destroyed lower back I have to make frequent stops. I don't want to hold you up and make your trip longer.

Looks like there's construction on I-20 in Columbia near the I-77 interchange. Didn't get to read the details cuz my 'puter/internet connection is a POS at the moment...getting ready to head out to get my kids.

I googled "road construction I-20 sc".

Thanks, I found the info I needed. East bound issue and may not be one at all on a Sunday.

Understood completely. Even if I can't make it, should you, or anyone for that matter, need anything while traveling, i'm not very far at all.

Thanks, are you the SB I saw on SC31 northbound getting off at NMB a few weeks ago?

Very, very good possibility. I was down that way the 26th of October, went to Bass Pro and came back.

Probably was. I didn't realize it was a Marauder at 1st due to so many CVs here. The SB color is close enough to the SCHP and HCPD cars color that I just hung back. I pulled along side then got in front and flashed my lights. DTR with SS inserts.

It's a good possibility, although I don't remember seeing a Marauder. I usually try to keep an eye out, but that doesn't always happen or work...
