All together:

Who's the leader of the Club that's made for you and me,
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

Hey there, hi there, ho there; your welcome as can be.
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse),
Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse),
Forever let us hold our banner high! (High! High! High!)

Come along and sing the song, and join the jamboree;
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

(Here comes Mickey Mouse!)

Here we go, a-marching and a-shouting merrily;
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

We play fair and we work hard and we're in harmony;
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse),
Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse),
Forever let us hold our banner high! (High! High! High!)

Boys and girls from far and near, you're welcome as can be;
M-I-C, K-E-Y,
M-O-U-S-E.

MICKEY MOUSE!

(written by the unforgettable Jimmie Dodd)

I may be the only guy here who actually remembers all the words. (especially the last two lines)!

(Walt's birthday is December 5).

1928 is recognized as the birthday of Mickey Mouse. It's the same year both Plane Crazy and Steamboat Willie were released. Plane Crazy was only a silent test cartoon (shown in limited circumstances on May 15) for which Walt had a hard time finding a distributor. Steamboat Willie was a full theatrical release (and the first cartoon with synchronized sound) released on November 18. That's the day recognized as Mickey's birthday.

S/W is actually the third Mickey Mouse cartoon ever produced. The second was The Gallopin' Gaucho (also a silent picture). After the success to S/W, P/C and TGG were later released commercially (all in 1928) after sound was added.
