I'm trying to buy a vehicle I found through a Craigslist ad in Port Angeles, WA and have it shipped back to PA. The agreed price is only $1,250.00 and its probably going to cost more to ship it. The problem is the seller will only accept cash or check. There is no way I'm going to send cash, but I don't feel safe sending a check either. I asked to use paypal, but he doesn't fell safe about it. Any advice would really help.

On a vehicle buy, someone has to take the risk unless you meet with them, hand them cash, then drive it away.
If you were to PayPal and charge it back, he could be out both the car and the funds.

Paypal is safe or wire funds.
Are there any MM.net members out there that can help?

You can send a bank check, w tracking. If he cashes it at his bank, n doesn't send you what you bought, your bank can get your money back.

yea from what i was told they can track it and cancel it before it gets deposited, but once they already cash it they can only show you where and who cashed it.

There's no perfect way to do it. Risk is inherent in these types of transactions.

I sent Bob (nxsbob) a pm, he's 16 miles away. He's been in contact with the owner and is going to check it out tomorrow. He's already checked a few things for me, and everything seems legitimate so far.
I can't thank him enough!!!!!
This is just another reason why this site is so great.

Send Bob the money and have him carry it to the seller.

Southwest has some great deals right now. You could probably find a cheap flight without breaking the bank
