And my friends wonder why I always drive beaters whenever I visit them in Chicago.
Between their cars being hit, and now yours, it's clear to me that my Marauder won't be making that trip ever.

Keep in mind, there is Chicago, Chicago Suburbs and then Dom's neighborhood
I live in Chicago for 23 years and then another 5, well in the suburbs and I've never been hit, or victim of a hit and run.
I for one would have no problem driving my Marauder to Chicago for MV, most people don't get randomly hit

Note to self if i park my car in a parking lot away from other car or where they would park that means i should not park on the street.

You mean the one he puts on himself, disconnecting his brake lights and then brake checking people on the highway?

It sucks that you will not enjoy the city with your machine. 10+ years here and this happens once.

You will miss the best Marauderville yet because of your poor judgement.

The problem is you are in Texas.
I kid I kid. :P

Actually, you are worse off in a garage. I have known more people to get their cars stolen out of a garage than hit in the street.

There is no such thing as luck in this world, but there is such thing as tihs, happens.

Rubbish. I would never do that to people on the highway. Now, flipping the switch to keep the authorities away, that's another story.
Well said.
Wow you are gullible.
The car will be fine. It can always be worse. Ever walked to your car to find it stolen? :( I will see what the insurance company says. I'd like it fixed asap before salt can take a beating on the part where paint is now missing!

It sucks that you will not enjoy the city with your machine. 10+ years here and this happens once. If you will recall, I said that several of my friends who both live in and visit Chicago have also had this happen. I would say an uncanny percentage; I know 10 people well who live in Chicago - 5 of them have had issues of varying seriousness (one car was totaled)...that's 50%. I would be surprised if even 5% of my friends in other cities, including my own, have had issues like this.
So while it may not be the norm in Chicago (and I'm sure it is not), I have my own personal reasons for not bringing my 'nice' car to your city. I'm merely playing to my superstitions, the odds, whatever you wanna call it.
Oh, and...hey, here's a picture of one! This happened at The Melting Pot - 609 Dearborn, Chicago IL:

I don't know what to tell you man. I guess I will have to teach you how to survive in these streets. I heard NYC is even worse and I drove there three times with the Marauder, each time without an issue. Fighting to get into the Lincoln Tunnel is another thing.

That sucks. But, at least you shouldn't have to look for a rear bumper!

Okay as bad as Chicago can be you learn how to live with it, besides we can not hold a candle compared to Atlanta, not only was it scarey down there but seems 80% of all the cars on the road were from oversea's. Someone should tell those Good Old Boy's down there to buy American! When ya come to Chicago you'll see American cars.

I've never had an issue in Chicago, and I'm down there almost everyday. Of course, I don't drive my MM in the winter though.

I've had my marauder on the north side (Loyola college area), Lincoln park, wrigleyville, southside (Beverly, oak lawn, napervillle) and probably other places I'm forgetting. I've always been worried and careful about parking on the street but I have never had anything happen to my car. If the next MV was in Chicago I wouldn't hesitate to go.

Like I said, no matter what my response is to anything... even if its what they wanna hear someone is going to ridicule me, even if they have bigger skeletions in their closet than I do. So it does not matter what I say.

Stuff happens. Keep in mind this was thanksgiving night. Lots of drunks on the road.

Insurance will be covering this. I can finally get my rear bumper re-painted too.
Whoever hit my car, thanks!
