Really? I was wondering this. After my manual conversion is honestly the first time I ever noticed my wheel not locking and I figured it was from disconnecting the shifter cable from up in the steering column. Go figure.
No steering lock
No brake interlock
No pats
Good thing I carry damn good insurance!! LOL

The clutch pedal is likely his best theft deterant (although I wish mine had one!)!

I love that there is no steering wheel lock, are CV/GM/TC's the same way? Wonder why there is none.

Ford decided the SecuriLock system (PATS) was sufficient. This system is in place on all Panthers since 1998.

Probably the cost of having a moving pin to lock the steering wheel with all the resulting linkage also had something to do with it.
