I know we've all seen renderings and spy photos of the 2015 mustang, but I just saw on FORD site some info about it. In small print it says preproduction vehicles shown. I kinda like it..wonder if production cars will still get revamped any.

Not too bad, I was afraid it would be worse. I like the lines from hood to roof. Not crazy about the interior dials, reminds me of the Camaro.

When I was in 3rd or 4th grade the Mustang was launched as the 1965 in mid 64 and the cost was $1995 and then came the 2+2 fastback which was a killie car. My gym teacher had a Burgundy one and that one pretty car 50 years later.....well we will see

I don't think it's half bad, the last video I posted kind of explained the whole new look. It's meant to modernize the vehicle to appeal to the whole world, not just America. Seeing it in person might change how people feel about it.

I've never been a fan of projector headlights...I think they look too much like some evil robot from science fiction...think "The Terminator" without his human skin. On this Mustang they look kinda "squinty", too...

On the whole, I don't hate the car, but I like the previous generation better.

So do you buy the last of this gen or the 1st of this gen? :censor:

Not bad, but I like the older model's roof line behind the side windows.

IMHO, this one looks a little too much like the new Porsche.

I hate hate hate that its bigger. I don't want a big mustang. If I get a BIG car it'll have 4 doors.

I guess more incentive to keep my Fox and Terminator.

Ford originally built a nice, sharp, light, little new car back in the beginning that was NOT loaded that a young person could afford. It also offered options to make it anyway you wanted, V8,6, 4 speed etc. Just a radio! Fine! Now to me it's not the fun little sportscar it once was, nope gone! It's just a big heavy slug loaded with every option ford could think of to raise the profit margin and I bet not as much fun to drive.
Of course Ford is not alone, think about this, in 1965-66 if you ordered a big pontiac and have maybe the option of 6-8 different HP V8 engines to pick from, those were the good old days!

There's so many different design cues on this car, kinda ruins the cool factor of a mustang.

The front of the car at a less than 45 degree angle from the center looks like a new infiniti Q something.
Straight on from the front it looks like a modified taurus/fusion combined together.
From a side view perspective, the protruding front looks like a Mitsubishi lancer.
From the side the roof line looks like a nissan 370z. The rear window that of a nissan GTR.
Looking at the back corner panel from the front of the car, looks like a Camaro.

The only thing I am really liking so far is the rear taillights fascia. Reminds me of the fastback mustangs.

Will have to see it in person, but so far meh..and I really want to pick up a 13 or 14 5.0 after seeing this.

Overall, I really like the new Mustang:

Front end looks really nice.....FORD continues with the Aston Martin type grille opening, which looks great on the Fusion as well.

I love the flared rear fenders!

The fastback design does look a lot like an Audi/Supra

I'm withholding judgment on the taillights.....my initial reaction is that they look weird.....though not as bad as the new Vette's Camaro taillights....:puke:

I think the straight up american looking last gen mustang is what appeals to the whole world, since they don't get that car much else other than europe occasionally. Remember the top gear with the GT500, everyone loved it while Clarkson rambled on about how childish it looked..you know he loved it the whole time as well.

Not sure if I like it or not. I am not a big fan of the front end and the backend looks weird. I will probably have to see it in person to get a true definative feel for the car.

With Ford putting in the IRS suspension and a turbo'd 4 litre they are basically trying to make the new Mustang a car that will appeal to both North American and European markets.

It's funny that we used to be the leaders in car design now we try to incorporate all kinds of different looks to appease everyone/all markets and end up with cars that have a transgender look to them.

Ford is REALLY pushing this car.

Guest star last night on the Stephen Colbert show was Ford Motor Company's CEO, Alan Mulally.

All during the short interview, pictures of old and new Mustangs were shown in the background.

Colbert, being typical Colbert, threw out a little jab about the old Mustangs being such big sellers because they had a back seat and a guy could get **** in one.

Mulally took it in stride.

(Mulally reminds me of a an actor that should be playing a dad on a TV sitcom, but he's done a better job than some past Ford CEOs.)

I like the current design, but the new ones headlights aren't right with me. I like the taillights but agree they do look high. And I know it's the norm, but I don't like the big screen TV in the dash...I'll have to see one in person...

Looks ok but not sold on the new look. Its narrow and smaller, reminds me of when they took the aggressive 1960's style and built the flop mustang II in 73 witch was small and was offered with a 4 cylinder or the cobra with the v-8 302.

Is the 2015 a resto look of the mustang II flop

I hope not and especially not any smaller, someone said it was actually larger than current model

Yeah it's not smaller, actually wider and longer than the current gen. It is lighter though.
