I had Uncle at Pearl, he was on a DD next to the USS Pennsylvania.

We knew that he on PT boats during the war, but never knew he was at Pearl that morning till his funeral a few years ago, one for men in the Navy Honor Guard told us. WW II vets did like to talk about the war.

God Bless! :flag:

I visited the Pear Harbor monument back in the mid 90's.

Looking down, seeing the ship underwater, and watching oil still coming up after all those years was something I'll never forget.

(I beleve they called the oil "black pearls".)

I have been to Pearl Harbor twice. And both times it was very heart breaking. Can't help but think of the lives that were changed forever.

Sent from The White House on taxpayers dimes.
