I've wondered if marauders are expensive cars to work on? Can most of the parts be ripped off a crown victoria and replaced or is a lot modular and specific for marauder? How about engine / transmission replacement?

They are more expensive, rare cars = rare parts. As for the actual repair costs, it depends on who you have working on your car. If you take it to a shop that likes to hang parts you are going to be in for a big bill...

Gotcha I suspected. Marauders were slightly out of my budget and once I calculated extra gas mileage and repair costs I decided to go with a super clean LX Sport. Right now I can't work on my cars because I rent with no garage. But I think I'm going to start saving to buy a Marauder a few years down the road to have it as a weekend sweetheart and daily drive the Crown Vic.

most outdoor panels, quarters, doors, hood trunk lid are interchangeable but as far as engine parts the CV's and GM's have 2V 4.6's, while marauder have 4v. Even some of the electronics modules are interchangle, ie. air suspension module is the same as 03 GM. But there are alot of marauder specific pieces, like headlights, bump covers, and wheels.

The 4r70/75w transmissions have been used in multiple vehicles platforms by ford so rebuild kits and parts for those aren't hard to find

Bumpers, head lights, tail lights, seats, dash trim, gauge cluster, overhead console, floor console, floor mats, miscellaneous engine components, etc... are all hard to find items that are becoming more and more rare by the day.

Good luck in your search down the road.

Cheap. The engine/trans are widely used in other vehicles.

Only problem is cosmetic Marauder only stuff.

When I bought my LSC everybody said it was a high maintenance vehicle...not true...it's all in the vehicle and the PM you do...

It's not that bad since many of the parts are from other vehicles. (crown vic, GM, town car, aviator engine)
