I've seen something about this somewhere on the MM.net. My front passenger window has been really slow operating since I got the car (7,000 miles now). However, today the window went only to the mid-point and then stopped completely. I had to get out and assist the window back up.
Understand that this is a problem with the window guides and can be corrected fairly easily. I am due for a routine service shortly and will probably just let the dealer handle it. Brown's Lincoln/Mercury in Fairfax, VA does a really good job and even details my cars for me on every service.

My car did that once too but was told it's normal and dont worry about it and if it happens again bring it in ..
I jsut picked up my car today that they had for over a week . when i took the car there for work it was fully detailed by me . i pick up the car it's filthy. i ask why is my car coming back to me like this since they had it all this time?i get told we dont clean them and we had your car sitting outside while it was waiting for the parts..to make a long story short you sure found a great dealer:rock: and DONT DEAL WITH RAMSEY FLM IN rising sun md.Lousy service people...

I've had slow window operation, but it never just stopped. I lubricated the rubber on both sides of the window along the door sill with silicone spray. It worked fine. I have tinted windows and I think over time, the rubber started to dry out. I haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for the advice on the silicone spray. I might just try that. However, as I mentioned in the original post, I recall seeing notes here on the posts that the guide alignment may also be a cause of the problem.

Don't be surprised if a new motor/regulator is in order. This is a semi-common problem with Cr Vics / Gr Mq's. Glad to hear about Brown's L/M being good to you. That is my dealer also, but hopefully I'll never have to see the service side since I try to do all my own work. We have 4 Blue MM's sold at Brown's L/M here on this site, at least to my knowledge.
