Just curious, went to the junkyard for some Impala parts and when I pull the tools out of the trunk I noticed the box bottoms I had in the trunk were wet. Looking under the 'carpet' I had some standing water...have not checked further due to weather...anyone else have or had this issue. Quick,y checked for drip page and wetsness but couldn't initially find anything...I'm thinking it may be coming from the pass. side taillight since I've had the out several times...next warm day I'm sticking TJ in other and drowning the car at a manual car wash... this is in the 'rauder of course.

I know when I had a '92 Grand Marquis water go into the trunk around where the wires for the tail light met the body. I put some sealer round the rubber grommet and it fixed it right up.

Due you have a spoiler? You could be getting water in through the holes that were drilled.

Get in the trunk with a flashlight and have someone run a hose all around the edges and tail lights. Fix where it's coming in.

I told Curless to make sure he got all the ice cubes out of the trunk before you picked the car up...So much for his "Marauder Trunk Cooler" mod:lol::eek::coolman::D

When I had this problem, it was not obvious were the water was coming from, but it was only during no touch car washes. I just changed the weatherstripping and that cured my problem. The orig weatherstripping looked in perfect condition, but apparently still managed to spring a leak.

I'm thinking it may be from the grommet I left out of the body behind the right taillight when I added the sequentials...

I hope you aren't the type to throw out your "extra" parts when you are done with a job.

The grommet that sealed the factory whole in the sheet metal...I left it out because I wasn't done with the mod and didn't want to damage the gromet taking it in and out alot...and I don't throw away anything...:D

This happened to my crown Victoria I ended up finding out that I slammed a box in the trunk but the box was to big , made the trunk on one side Pop Out of place on one side to let Rainwater come in.

04 Impala...went looking for the steering controls because the paint had come off. Found the last one of those. Currently looking for a tan steering wheel and the speedo plastic. Just trying to get all the little details fixed...
