Took the Cass Scenic Railroad a few years ago.
Shay 'AWD' locomotives chugging up those steep slopes while billowing clouds of steam and coal smoke.
What a ride up that WV mountain and a spectacular view at the top!

Ditto! I'm in the beginning stages of making a layout of the paper mill over in Canton, NC. My ultimate goal is to one day have a layout of the old iron ore lines in the Wakefield-Bessemer, MI / Hurley, WI area. (where my parents are from)

HA! All this time I pretty much figured I was the only one. Got into it about 10 or so years ago, don't have much time to devote to it now though. Glad to know i'm not alone :up:

I don't chase trains, but I like trains. I go to railpictures.net to look at the pictures fairly frequently.
