 I've noticed the past winter or so after the car heats up the heat pours out fine except when I come to a stop. The heater then blows cool air when I'm idling at a stop sigh or red light but when I start driving again its warm as it should be. My mechanic suggests its a problem with the heater control valve not working properly. The temperature gauge once warmed up never moves so doesn't appear to be a thermostat. Anyone ever have this problem and if so can you tell me what the problem might be ? And one other thing, I change my coolant every two summers. The first winter after the change of anti freeze it's not as bad.
