Hi BDJ Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sorry to hear about your health problems. Ginny and I are both on blood thinners and had no problems. These are fairly new and are very effective with no monitoring required . It may help to ask your Dr. about "Xarelto" and "Eliquis"--I have been on Xarelto for over 2 years and have no subcutaneous bleeding or any other side effects . Ginny has been on Eliquis for 6 months with the same results. These drugs work entirely differently from the old Coumidan based blood thinners. Hope everything works out for you soon. Maury

Always good to hear from you old friend! The doctors explained to me that it not the fault of coumidan the fact of the matter my body just "sprang" a leak! They went looking at both ends:eek: and found no leak. So the sent me home and we will try it again.

I need to go a month with no issues and then a trip to Temple's heart and lung center is in the cards to see if they want to remove the clots or let 'em be?

Good to hear you are at home BDJ. Coumidan can be some nasty stuff. My father inlaw had problems until they perfected his dosing. Hope you are back to normal soon.

Bigdogjim
01-26-2014, 04:04 PM
Yes coumidan can be tricky to deal with they tell you a blood test every week for a year then if all is well every 2 weeks. Hey if this the worst I get out the deal I'll be happy.
