Anyone here ever do any grudge racing?

Seems like a cool thing to go and see.

Also, does anyone know why they lift the rear tires off the ground and run the car like that before a race? Seems like a way to prep the car, but not sure what they're doing?

Grudge races can be pretty damn cool. Never seen anyone lift the back tires off the ground though at the line???

ive seen it done on the show pinks on speed channel.....:confused: :confused:

They lift the rear tires to put car in drive to warm-up and get the lube going in the rear end. This done on cars @ the track that are strickly drag cars/ dragster's, since they don't circulate the dif fluid. Not needed for street car's.
