It is a bittersweet day....
Today I sold my beautiful 1 owner SB...
Congrats to the new owner whom I am sure will chime in sometime soon. She will be shipped later this week.
Thanks for the great memories with the local meets, state meets, and MV's that I have been too.....she is a great car and will be missed by myself and my family...

If you will and your family will miss it, why on earth would you sell it?
I don't get it.

Thanks Mike! I am thrilled to be the new owner of such well cared for vehicle. Many on this site have such high regard for you that I felt comfortable doing business with you on a virtual "hand shake." You are a true gentleman. Blessings.
I can't wait!!

I hope she brings you many miles of smiles as she has given me......you will absolutely love her. Us both being novices at buying and selling over the web, I think we worked it out pretty well.....Enjoy!!
It was certainly a pleasure working things out with you over the phone....I just hope I can fit the swaybar in the car. The other "goodies" you will love too.

I just wasnt getting the pleasure that I once was.....I havent really "driven" her in about 4 years or so years.....I have only put about 18K on her since 2009, and just under 2K in the last year and only 4K in the last two years. It was sad sometimes just to see her sitting there and collecting dust....plus I would like to purchase a house instead of renting a house.
I know it sounds crazy to give up on 10 years with the best car, mechanically or otherwise, I have ever owned hands down.

Mike,
Congradulations on long distance sale. Roof overhead, without risk of increasing rent, sounds good. Glad to hear of your good rep here helping make deal work.
Perhaps you should be named a Former Owner of Marauder. Is there such a subgroup section?...yet.. Hang around, You may again own a Marauder.

Actually, I am getting transferred back to the Northwest. That's where the car is headed. Trucking got a bit complicated with the cold weather in much of the US. :depress:
Do you still want to be smuggled in the trunk?

On the contrary. I can't wait for it to show up. I was just clarifying that the car is not headed from Texas (where it is) to Hawaii (where I live). It is headed to he Northwest (where I am getting transferred to). Unfortunately, transporting the car there is taking longer than I wanted because of the bad weather.

Well it's going to someone who actually loves it.
Remember, rev in neutral or gun it on dry pavement.

LOL. A good reminder when living in the NW. I have traction control now though. That may save me from myself.

She left on the transport yesterday.....making a tour around the country....Houston, Dallas, OKC, Seattle, then off to Portland for its drop off point....she has the number one seat on the truck above the driver...so if you see her, give her a wave!!

I had my SB shipped from Tennessee up to Vancouver (Canada) for 1600 USD, and it also sat up front on top of the rig. The bug splatter took three washes with Dawn soap to come off!

Yup she is in a very prominent position. Shipping cost was $1200 if I recall correctly. I heard yesterday weather in the NW is crazy also. 6" of snow in Oregon! Hopefully delivery won't be affected.

It wasnt at first.....I had wished for a little longer drive to meet the "rig". It didnt affect me until he put it on the truck. I do miss her but not as much as I thought I was going to.....I guess that is due to the fact that I really hadnt driven her much in the last 3 years.....I believe I only put about 6K on her in that time. I didnt drive her for weeks at a time....

I hadn't posted, but she made it to its final destination in great condition. Not a scratch and not even dirty! I love the SB color and really like the moon roof. I have hardly driven it as I had to fly out. She is up in Oregon :alone: for another 3 weeks. I ordered Nitto's 55s for the rear last night. I'll install the new tires and then find a nice spot in Oregon or Washington to shoot some pics. I know a few in the area were talking about getting together. That may be a good time to shoot some pics. :burnout:
