This is an awesome story. Just wanted to share.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/01/29/chick-fil-gives-free-food-to-motorists-stranded-in-southern-snowstorm/

I know many of you live up north and are prepared for any storm to hit like this. But if we get an inch or 2 it really can reek havoc on us. This storm did more than they had anticipated and caught many people with their pants down. Here where I live the snow stuck so fast on the roads unexpectedly that we had kids stranded at schools over night. Atlanta reported kids having to sleep on school buses all night due to traffic jams. Trips that normally take 15 minutes across town were taking 3 hours due to stranded motorist and roads were impassable. I put a few picts out here to see so it gives you an idea of what the highways looked like. Many left their cars on the side of the road to find shelter and food. Thankfully, I was able to get my family home but many didn't. The article above really shows A Random Act of Kindness that they didn't have to do.

The funny thing is in the Walking Dead we survive the zombie apocalypse, but we obviously don't fare so well in the snow.

That restaurant got in trouble for expressing their views on homosexuality. While it maybe a good deed, my impression is this was to repair the damage they caused for themselves and get the restaurant back on track.

Here we are talking about it on the internet. It's working.

Could have been damage control...but a good deed is a good deed no matter the intentions...people were hungry or cold, and then they weren't..win-win as far as I care...kudos!!!

True, it is kind of fun, long as you can be out in it "with no particular place to go".

Thanks for sharing Chris. Just glad you all are safe down south.

That's great that Chick-fil-A helped out like that. Love their food, cookies, ice tea, milkshakes ... yum making me hungry!

I work right by the interstate right off Hwy 280. That chic fil a isn't far from me. That was pretty cool of them. I was in Birmingham when the snow fell. Glad I got out when I did. I left around 11AM or so. Had a 70 mile drive home. It took me 4 hours to get here. This is what the parking lot looked like when I left the office.

Those roads looked pretty bad even for us, and to imagine how drivers reacted knowing they never or very seldom ever drove in snow is scary. Its like if i drove in fl when a super storm hit...not used to it so id probably be getting the bird from other drivers who pass me by. Glad you guys are safe, and kudos to chick fil a.
