My Marauder is hard to turn, I've put power steering fluid in it same thing...BTW no check engine light... What could be the issue?

there has been a recall for steering issues in SOME states, they are replacing shafts. I don't know for sure if Marauders have been included but I had the Town Car done. Had to go after Ford for it.

Same thing going on with my marquis. Hosed the lower half with liquid wrench works ok for now. Rock auto has them for $112.

Btw when it was turning smoothly I would still have to straighten wheel after a turn wouldn't do it automatically. Power steering pump? I dont have clue:confused:

When they stick, they don't auto correct. My F150 did this and I just sprayed it with wd40 to get me by until I source the 2) uj1530 (IIRC) ujoints. I would never pay the crazy amount of money they charge for the shaft when it's simple joints.

Don't mean to hijack this thread (but I'm going to anyway, I guess), but recently (last week or so) I've felt an occasional 'click' or 'catch' in the steering wheel when making turns...happens once or twice a day...any ideas if this is an indication of something bad about to happen?

liberally spray WD40 on the u joint on the lower steering shaft. See if that fixes it.

Another vote for lubing the u-joints in the steering shaft.

Me. The one who drives all the time, has problems all the time and gets ridiculed all the time for not knowing how to solve a problem I have never have had before.
