View Full Version : Fat Bike
Here is a video of my oldest, 45, racing in the Iowa snow a couple of weeks ago.
I titled it "lOOK MA, THERE'S NO ONE AHEAD OF ME, DOES THAT MEAN I WIN".
Grueling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRUzgqWW-fw
He loves fat bike, off road, racing. The crashes are softer.
His camera is filming from his bike

Those bikes are awesome!
My buddy from one of my old jobs builds custom steel and titanium frames. I do his sandblasting on occasion.
Here is a link to his website. This is his Fat Tire Bike. He almost all of his frames after small micro-brews.

If I got one, it would be the last bike I would buy.

For how much they go for ($1000 and up), that would be the reason for it being my last bike. For starters, tires are between $75-$100 and tubes are $25. I've been hesistant to pay over $20 for 26" tires and $6 for a tube.

Awesome......perfect winter for it.
People will be lashing these to their cars in Atlanta so they don't get stranded in traffic again
