Simple O2 containers by the title of the video.

Great video, it is already prepped for a class I need to teach in March. It will be the opening for the class. Show the video, and tell the class, you are rolling up on the scene ... now what do you do? :D

Awesome! Oxygen doesn't burn. Some may have been oxygen but some were something flammable. Guess there wasn't much left of that truck after 30 explosions.

Words of wisdom always stay away from trucks with the flammable hazmat placard.

True. Oxygen enable materials to burn. What we are seeing in the original posted videos are the oxygen tanks exploding as a result of pressure build up in the tanks.

Here is a good video with a little explanation of how the explosion occurs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZJ3W1dmEng

Likely not acetylene tanks as those fireballs are much larger. Generally you get a fireball ...

It took a good 10 seconds before that cat in the van even put it in reverse.

Defensive Driving tip ..... watch the silver van/bus in the far left lane at the beginning of this video. He hasn't planned his exit and his bone-headed quick 3 lane change set up this incident to happen. If the oxygen tank hauler had been paying attention, he would have realized what the van/bus was trying to do and either slowed or changed lanes earlier. With the exit coming up quickly, the bus hits the brakes to slide in behind the dump truck in the right lane. By this time, the oxygen tank truck cannot stop and rear-ends the van/bus driving it into the dump truck and the resulting damage.

The oxygen tank truck is clearly at fault in this one. He should have been been aware of the van/bus changing lanes and anticipated his idiot move. The truck should have slowed or at least backed off enough to allow the van/bus to make it to the right lane since it was obvious from the beginning that was where he was heading.

Always anticipate the dumbest move that someone can make .... then sit back and wait for them to do it. It is inevitable.

Hope everyone in that incident was OK. But I didn't see anyone exit the truck or the van/bus. :(
