I got these hubcaps for Valentine's Day for my snow tires.

Finally, when the car has salt on it, it's justified.

Those are "wheel covers".

A "hubcap" is technically the small cover over the center of the wheel, while a "wheel cover" is a usually a decorative metal or plastic disk that snaps or bolts onto and covers the entire face of the wheel. Cars with stamped steel wheels often use a full wheel cover that conceals the entire wheel. Cars with alloy wheels or styled steel wheels generally use smaller hubcaps, sometimes called center caps.

I think wheel cover is a newer term..possibly sometime in the 90's it was started with more use? I don't ever recall someone saying wheel cover in the 70's or 80's..it was always hubcap...maybe it was hubcap when they were still mostly made of metal and when they went to plastic it became wheel cover..

Not sure, but the band got back together and put together a new album. I saw Black Flag and Flag last year, yes two Black Flag reunions. At Flag, I fought threw 20,000 people to get to the front at Riot Fest. The funny thing is a lot of people were waiting for Blink 182. So all of these Black Flag fans made the Blink 182 fans cry. We had great time. Probably the most fun I ever had at a show, ever.

I was going to use those on my winter wheels back in the day, but I couldn't find them anywhere. They would have certainly kept the crap outta the wheels. Where I used to live we had heavy snow on a normal basis. They used a 3/4 sand to 1/4 salt mix that would freeze to the inside of the wheel and cause them to be unbalanced. Car washes didn't get it off. You needed to use a hose and brush. Those caps would have worked great. Not so sure on the look though.

Within 2 days I had a police officer pull up next to me to say he liked the wheels. Heck, the car get's even more attention now and must look cool as hell when I am.... driving....

Sadly, I will remove these upon summer because I know they are not making the brakes cool any easier.
