In June the price was what ever the sticker had printed on it, I walked away.

Bought one in September '02 for 4K less :up: Joined the board in Nov.'02 still here.

I bought my SB new on 6/20/2003. I was there when the truck rolled up at Art Hill Lincoln Mercury dealer in Merrillville, IN and claimed it right off the truck. I really did not want a black one so when I heard LM started to make Silver ones I did a search and found this one delivering in Indiana. No one at the dealership had seen a Silver one yet so everyone was coming over to look at it.

I finished the paperwork and I did leave it their after a test drive. I had them put the wing on the trunk and had them take it to ACS to have the Moonroof installed.

Car has given me a run for my money over the years but I still love it!

Bought mine in July 2003 and has been my daily driver ever since, unlike some garage queens. We never have snow, so it runs all year. 113K miles and still runs/looks new; no oil consumption or leaks:) People still approach and want to talk about the Marauder wherever I go.

July 04 new, last one on the lot, wanted a black but dealer said he wasn't going to do a transfer, wanted to reduce Marauder inventory to zero. I'm blessed.

I was the first person (and only person) to buy the '04 Silver Birch that April. My dealership had no saleman who even heard of the Marauder. When I told them that I had just seen it at the New York Auto Show, they looked for a brochure. Before the Mercury dealership closed, I was still the only person to ever buy a Marauder there.
The car now has 51,352 miles on it, with some mods. Runs great, good MPG on long trips, and still turns heads.

Test drove one in June/July of 2002 at Tysons Va. LM.....I wanted one badddd......dealer wanted sticker @ $35,000+.

No deal.

Waited until the end of the year when Safford LM had 6 Black Marauders lined up on the lot.
I picked the cleanest looking one and swung a deal for $30,600 on the road....plus got a year end rebate for another $500.

There were 6 black ones with sunroofs at my local dealer stickered at $38,500 and they wouldn't accept a dime less. All of them sold quick..

The market I live in is also notorious for marking up anything that is in high demand $10,000 over sticker and
Labeling the extras portion with something like "regional mark up" I remember seeing this on a Harley truck and GT500's (which were more like $30,000 over..) when they first came out.

Problem is they actually sell quick.

This is exactly why I bought mine used in '04.

But that's cool you got yours at Cherner. Coincidentally that's where I purchased my first Marauder in May 2006. So, obviously not a first gen owner like a lot of you but I was a 2nd owner and only had 34,000 miles on it.

I hate the Krystal Koons commercials ... they are about the most obnoxious ones around. This is one reason why I have never, ever been to a Koon's dealership. They could probably double their business if they would just dump Krystal.

BTW Mebot/Ryan --- I think Joe got his MM at Safford L/M near Burtonsville and Tom Doan's "Pig Roast" place. We used to meet there every year for the excellent Father's Day weekend car show that they would put on with free food, entertainment, drinks and ice cream all day long. They also gave out lots of door prizes up to $500.00. Best part was "Free" entry into the car show and no registration fee.

Joe hit the $500 raffle prize back in June 2009 ...

Bought my June 02 build brand new 2003 January, 24 2004. Saw the car on ebay and called the dealership. Talked to the owner of the dealership and made the deal directly with him. It had sat on the dealer's lot for 18 months. Drove from Lufkin, TX to Athens, TN, 780 miles one way to pick it up. Sticker was $35,045 and I paid $23,499.50 for it. I bought it a friend for a while in a SB 2004, but that one has gone a way. 10 years and 2 months with my original now.

Picked my 2003 300A/B transition black . Have been aware of Marauder program since early prototypes were built. Waited for traction control and found this rare one in OK. My dealer traded for it and I drove it out for $ 27,100 TTL. Now has 151 000+ and still running strong. Been daily driver from beginning . No mods but still gets attention at track. Have enjoyed every mile and hope to add many more. Really glad to see a lot of folks who haven't posted for a while. Remember the " good old days" and enjoy the present. Keep the Marauders rolling. Bought new from texas dealership (car found by board members here) while I was out to sea on an aircraft carrier. I used my Yuma Az dealership to handle the sale and transfer of the marauder to Yuma where I had a few things done to it.

This was the second marauder (first was SB 2004 that has long since been sold when I was sent to Guam for a few years).

Some say this was the second to last 2003 sold from a dealership as I bought it in June 2005.

Sad last couple of days for me as I have committed to selling her away...

Now with a little over 51,000 on it and needs the headlight lenses buffed out and a repaint other than that still in one piece.

Bought mine in June 2004 off the showroom floor. Currently, it's being resurrected from a run in with a Jersey wall just south of Detroit on New Years Day. Once I get it back I may have to change it's name to the Phoenix.
