View Full Version : I won $150,000 Last Night !!

I am not normally a gambler. However, last night, me and a couple friends and our wives ended up at a Casino. I spent much of my time drifting from the craps table, to roulette, the money wheel and Blackjack tables. I did my best during the night on the Blackjack where I was winning a little more than I was losing. So, I started placing larger bets. Finally, I moved over to a poker table to try my luck there.

After drawing numerous really rotten hands, I felt my luck change. I plopped down $30,000 on my last hand of the evening. Believe it or not, I drew 2 cards to an outside straight and was holding the 4-5-6-7-8 !! Incredible. It payed off at 5 to 1 odds -- for $150,000. I ended the night with right at $195,000 ........ Not bad for one evening.

Of course, this was not real money. It was a Monte Carlo night sponsored by my company. So, I was paid off in company bucks. Even with my streak of luck, I didn't make the top 5 to take any of the prizes available. Our "top dog" won a half-million all at the craps table. I think he has played before. My winnings placed me about 7th.

Sure would have been great if this was real dollars. Of course, if it was ... I may have been a little reluctant to drop $30K on a very long shot like that straight. Hey, but it does happen once in a Blue Moon.

All in all it was a fun night .... Now, back to reality.

LOL!!! Marty, it's amazing how well you know me!! The first thing that I thought of when I saw this thread title that includes "$150,000" in it was......."Man! that guy can buy a Ford GT!!!" and that is the primary reason that I even decided to read this thread......this is killing me!!

I already have a Ford GT. But, it is in a glass case and only 1:18 scale. That is the closest that I will ever get to one.

Looks like your luck is running in the right direction! Come on down to Tunica and try the real thing! I've got the only MM in town and would love to show some other owners our area. We've got nine casinos, but pleanty of other things to do in the area. some of ya'll might already be frequent visiters to Tunica. Send me a message and we'll get together.

If you buy one, then I'll get it painted black for you just to get a ride in it 5 or 6 times a year!!!! But it has to be a real fast ride!! Can you say "G-force"???????

Hey Mailman, next time I'm down that way I'll look you up. I'm probably one of the hardest hitters at the poker table on this board. I'm always up for 10/20 at the Texas Hold 'em table at Harrah's. If it has a bet, I'll call it ! Check my quotes and profile!

Hey, not everyone is even a winner at the ATM ALL of the time. Especially if you have an insatiable appetite for HORSEPOWER like me!!!(HP costs $$$$$) (but it can also cost lives if not treated w/caution).....

I guess you're right. It costs me 2 dollars to get my money at the casino's ATM!

I'm not sure if you're jesting or if that's a serious question. But if the latter is the case, then perhaps you aren't aware that he (and I) were refering to a GT, and not a Mustang GT. This is a link to it. Now tell me, would you really want to ruin a car like that w/a vinyl top?

TTA must have also missed the Superbowl commercials put out on the new Ford GT. The video clips on the Ford site are great.
