Kasey Kahne, the newest rookie in NASCAR, almost pulled off his first victory in the NEXTEL Cup at Texas Motor Speedway today. Kahne's #9 Dodge hounded Elliot Sadler's #38 M&M Ford for the last 15 or more laps closing the gap considerably. At the line, he was a 1/2 carlength behind or just .028 seconds. This makes Kasey's 3rd second place finish and one 3rd place already into the season this year. It was mentioned earlier on this net that Kahne is definitely the rookie to watch this year.
