I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I'm trying to put together the parts to upgrade my car a bit. Nothing too crazy, kinda going with some of the basic suggestions that many here make for new owners on a budget haha.

4.10 swap, possibly a higher stall, headers and exhaust, and a tune.

The problem is I seem to hit a wall every time I turn around. I ordered a complete set from Stainless Works (hopefully no issues there, although I haven't received any confirmation from them yet).

As for the gears and tune, I figured I should maybe try to kill two birds with one stone. I contacted a vendor that is spoken of very highly here, but apparently they do not sell parts or a tune if the customer doesn't bring the car to them for install. Fair enough, but I guess I was mistakenly under the impression that you could do just that. I understand that a hands-on tune would be more effective than a canned baseline type, but bringing my car to one of these mentioned shops just isn't an option for me.

Another vendor (also mentioned here) has the gears/install kit/etc, but when I went to the online checkout, paypal was my only payment option (not an option for me).

I'm apparently a knucklehead when searching online for parts, and these were some of the only sources where I could find what I need.

Frustrated, I come to you members. Could anyone share some leads on where I can get these things through an online order?

Tips, tricks, part numbers, anything is welcome.

You try Mo's Speed Shop, a vendor here for tune info? They have helped plenty of Marauder owners in Canada.

Do you have a place lined up that can install gears? it;s not a do it yourself project. it requires specialty tools and knowledge or the gears will make noise and maybe burn up. Summit Racing has all the 8.8" gear sets required.. recommend Ford Racing gears...good price and good product. As mentioned..Talk with Marty from Mo's and tell him your hopes, goals and he'll recommend the best course if you are unsure.

The key is finding a reputable local shop to do the work properly the first time.

Nah, maybe Moosehead. I'll be in KY in July, so its not outside the realm of possibility! GA ain't that far away when you consider where I'm travelling from. Might even be driving the Merc if I get it done by then.
