You just need to know what to stay away from. They actually carry some very decent stuff. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have nearly the garage I have now.

i take that back, I have bought one thing from there and that was some clamps I never used when I was going to change out my intercooler pump

I always read the reviews on their site before i buy something. You might think how could they screw some things up, like valve stem caps for the tires....well, the one on my DS front wheel will not come off...ive tried everything....torch, pb blaster, cutting it off, and its so locked on i cant even get it off with 430 channel locks and mini vice grips to hold the valve from spinning on the tire itself! I gave up.

Most stuff at Harbor freight is pretty good if your going to use it occasionally. If I was still a professional mechanic I'd buy professional tools.

I've got a metric and ansi set of their Pittsburgh deep well impact sockets and they've never done me wrong through 3 rear end swaps, countless suspension changes and a motor swap in my buddy's 88 LX Vert
